one DOWN!

heys everybody.. it's kinda late.. and i should realli get to sleep. aah wells, nvm.. just awhile.

aniwae.. i had my first paper in uni today.
my my my.
yipes!!!!

i am RUSTY dammit.
6 mnths of sitting around on my tushie [butt] watching movie aft movie on tv.. and learning driving.. has made me bloody rusty.

4 books squeezed into a sem.. plus love poems.
paper format is 2 hrs to write 2 essays.
timing's not too bad right? [smehow everything in nus seems to be 2 hrs long - tutorials excl]
the standard 1 hr per qn.. 15 mins to plan, 45 mins to write right?
im rusty!!
i took sme time to plan.. and i cldn't get down to writing properly as fast as i used to be able to.
and i cldn't churn out as many pages as i used to.

i only managed four pgs per qn today.
and it was rather bad.. cos the second essay i did.. was total nonsense.
cos the qn was super specific. but it was the least of the evils.
yipes. i think im prolly gonna keep to my c average for that. sighs.
or worse. :x

ahh well. one down.
am currently mugging history. or well, was.. earlier.
and shall be continuing to do so until err.. the 29th.
basketcase. my paper is from 5-7pm lah. wth
i've nvr had a paper at such a weird time before.
hafta eat lunch and bathe earlier.. otherwise i'll b too full.. and perhaps sleepy.

but im worried.. cos i feel so rusty and.. semi-discouraged by today's paper.
sigh.
okay cher, enough whining for the day.
buggerfied. finally managed to get my butt to mugging for hist properly, gotta hardcore all the way till the 29th now.

okay okay. enough about blasted exams.
i've got happier things to mention..

roadtrip: to ohio!

which is a painful state i have no intention of revisiting for the time being. reason being: it's big. and long. and huge. and muddy. and erg. then again, since i had travelled for 15hours, i guess i was being prejudiced. but when HALF OF THOSE HOURS CAME FROM OHIO AND THE OTHER HALF FROM NEW YORK i guess i'm justified in not liking them much.

btw. new york, as in state. not new york, as in city.

but i'm heading down to nyc in 2 days, w00t. hanging out with my photographer friend, eating nice food and ambling around central park and finding me a TRENCHCOAT DUSTER THING!! i want my long coat. want want want. mmmmm.

AND IT WILL BE SUNNY WHEN I'M THERE.


ok sleep. you know when i said i wouldn't get enough sleep? i didn't. i totally absolutely did NOT SLEEP THE ENTIRE NIGHT FROM MONDAY TO TUESDAY. along with 2 other people. who went to bed before me. not that i'm proud of this or anything. but it was amusing. one of them was supposed to wake up, so i went to prod him out of bed, to see if he had class. after mumbling absolutely incoherent somethings (transliteration: "skyarraobrrriouwwarraphysicswarrra") he announced he was staying in bed and wasting away for the rest of his life (i quote).

kk i should sleep now. heading into boston tomorrow to find them dusters.

anyways.. im now here cos i am PRINTING!
my goodness.. if there is anything at all that i have been doing consistently through-out this whole semester.. i'd hafta say it's printing.
as stupid as that sounds.. im afraid it's true.
even the hostellites BUY printers from the IT co-op so they wont hafta keep going to the library or comp lab to print the numerous things -lect ntes, lect outlines, exercises, wkshts etc.

semi-interesting fact of the day:
george w bush was in singapore - AT NUS- today for awhile.
im not sure how long and no, i didn't get to see him [not that i particularly want to] anyway it was for some nobel prize celebration thingy or smth. and apparently it realli screwed up all the traffic at NUS due to the security and the police and road diversions etc.

oh and did i mention that my first exam is NEXT SAT!!
yeah.. a saturday smemore.
nvm.. it's lit.. so at least i start of all this unfamiliarity with a smewhat more familiar subject out of all those im taking.

and i have a confession to make.
i went to watch 'step up' with 2 gd uni friends the other day. lol
it was hmm.. the 2nd time i'd been to the cinema throughout the whole sem lah. and we just felt we realli needed to go out for abit.
by the way.. you guys shld go catch it if you've time. it's good. channing tatum.. is omg.. so hot. rofl.

i wonder if leon's back frm his trip.
he went to cambodia [a sch trip i think].. and i forgot when he left. but he was supposed to be gone for a week.

well, yes. it's that time of the year, that one of the six seasons where you can't help but be miserable. well, sorta. i know i'd feel a lot better with wellies with blue stripes on them. with wellies, at least. it's kinda cold and RAINY. i wouldn't mind if it were not cold -and- rainy -and- windy. someone up there's out to get me.

and mmm so yeah, i have a research paper to write that's for my favouritest class and i'll be roadtripping this weekend. so i'm gonna DIE. NO SLEEP ON MONDAY NIGHT BEFORE IT'S DUE YEAHHH. sweet.

so anyways, to paraphrase cher i have a cup of grapes bag of tostitos on my right and a great song on my laptop. am listening to "let's get it started" but it's the acapella version by one of my school's acapella groups. this one is so good they were featured on a movie soundtrack, i forget which. but it's AWESOME. i didn't even realise it was acapella until halfway into the song.

ooh, spanish. ¿como está? i [heart] spanish, well not really. but i'd like to be able to speak it, which is totally different.

anyways. my point is. how on earth can i get jeremy to blog when i'm halfway around the world. ANYONE in singapore's probably got more influence over him than i do, plsthanks.

and rummy didn't "quit". he "stepped down" which is another word for "resign". no one ever "quits". they just fire themselves so they don't get fired.

and speaking of dreaming, lucid dreaming is the SWEETEST THING EVER. the stuff we learn in philosophy class, yeah. peace out.

apparently there's this book of rumsfeld 'poetry'--things he's said that people have turned into poems, it's quite funny ;p

anyway HELLO everyone i am still alive!

but it is very cold so if it were not for the (illegal) fan heater in my room i would have frozen by now. i bet even cher wouldn't be able to take cold showers here ;p

sorry i've not been in touch, i keep having essays to write! but it is nearing the end of term (1 dec) so things are slacking off i think.

anyhow it's early in the morning now, probably about 3 degrees max outside but it's really nice and sunny, and as usual i am going to be almost-late for class so i have to run, will update properly some other time!

i had a dream about alive last night. we were heading somewhere but i dont know where. and there were these very weird coloured stairs that we were on which i suspect was a distortion of what i saw in a late late late night taiwanese tv programme. the type of programmes that become slightly entertaining when one is on guard duty, as i was last night. the stairs were pretty cruel. there was no way of descending properly as with normal real stairs. they were like circles stacked one on top of the other. for some reason i was able to squeeze past each layer and step on the next. i remember andrea complaining about something in the dream.

Christmas is nearing! somehow that just makes the rest of the weeks seem brighter simply because i assume people will be in a holiday mood. which means work should get more relaxing. i hope.

donald rummy has quit. i realised how rarely i hear of politicians being sacked. they usually "resign". i sure will miss his ambiguous yet revealing statements. like the one that goes
